Angelic Types!

As shown in Scripture, God created and equipped many types of angels to serve Him in countless ways. Out of respect to the Bible's authority, the angelic types within Celestial's pages were thus heavily based on the Scriptures themselves!  Just remember, that while Celestial's angels were conceived with significant Biblical backing, these types should be considered highly informed fiction...not fact.

Which Type of Angel Would  You Be in Celestial?

Warrior Angel

Uniform Color: Red

Number of Wings: Two

To protect and defend. That's every warrior’s duty in God’s army. These stalwart angels adapted to the frontlines quickly after the Sin Curse and are well known for their bravery, fortitude, and resourcefulness. God designed them with massive wings that are well suited for strength, along with feathers that they can harden into diamond armor at will. Warrior’s are also capable of shooting devastating waves of pure light with every swish and clap of their wings.

“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back,” - Revelation 12:7

Messenger Angel

Uniform Color: Yellow

Number of Wings: Two

The very word ‘angel’ means ‘messenger’ in the human tongue, and the angels specified as messengers take their work very seriously. If it's a message to be sent, it's a message that will be delivered safely and swiftly. They’re the most agile flyers and can slip through most war-zones with little trouble. It helps that their skinny wings are capable of reaching ridiculously high speeds too.

“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” - Luke 2:10

Ministry Angel

Uniform Color: Blue

Number of Wings: None

The modern world may have grown more and more complex, but that hasn’t stopped ministry angels from ducking in and out of human society on a regular basis. Encamped across the globe, these angels safeguard Christians and watch over humanity at an up close and personal level. They may lack wings, but God has granted them two unique gifts: spiritual forcefields and the emotionally insightful empathic sense.

“Are [angels] not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” - Hebrews 1:14

Worship Angel

Uniform Color: Purple

Number of Wings: (Cherub) Four; (Seraphim) Six

Worship is the beating heart of God’s creation, and the worship angels understand its significance the most. Forever encircling the Throne of God, they lead all other angels in praise, worship, and service to their King. Whether near or far, their continual dances and songs provide a universal reminder to everything in all realms exactly who the source of love and life is. Worship angels come in two kinds: the four winged cherubs (the strong animal shape-shifters); and the six winged seraphs (the graceful burning ones).

“And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,” - Revelation 7:11

Nature Angel

Uniform Color: Green

Number of Wings: None

Since the Sin Curse, planet earth has decayed at a steady rate. It’s only through God and His empowerment of His nature angels that the world hadn’t already ripped itself apart. These wingless beings are the rarest among their brethren, and their kind are split into four sub-groups: Wind-class, Earth-class, Water-class, and Fire-class. With the limited authority over their assigned elements, each nature angel carries a grave responsibility. Whether it means to maintain order or to inflict disaster, the elements will proclaim His name to Adam’s sons.

“And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say, ‘Just are You, O Holy One, who is and who was, for You brought these judgments.’.” - Revelation 16:5

Angel of Death (Destroyer)

Uniform Color: Gray

Number of Wings: None

Don’t be fooled. These ominous denizens of pestilence and plague value life more than you could ever know. Shrouded under their hoods, angels of death emit a thick fog that reacts to their will and emotions like an extension of themselves. Everything that breathes has good reason to be wary in their presence. For they’re God’s judgment arm, and they’re not called Destroyers for nothing.

“[God] let loose on them His burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, a company of destroying angels.” - Psalm 78:49
